Trying to Blog While Bids Jump Faster Than I Can Type
I'm sitting here watching an online auction end, and it's absolutely wild. I glance over at the screen and the bid has jumped $1,000. Then $250 more. Someone walks in to pick up their check from the last building auction. I look back—the house moved again.

Around 1:30 PM, the bid was sitting at $31,500. It's now 2:13 PM and we're at $50,250. Someone bids again. When did it hit $51,000? While I was typing that last sentence.
$55,000 now. It's 2:15 PM and I need to get busy typing this out before it ends.
This is what makes an auction exciting.
I stopped by setup yesterday and they showed me something simple yet fascinating—a disco light bulb. I don't know why I find that light bulb so fascinating, but I do. The house is at $60,500 now. Now $64,000. Now $64,500. The time is 2:19 PM.
I talked to someone earlier today about our January personal property auctions—household items and collectibles. He asked about tools and I told him not really until February. We have some neat ones coming then.
The house is at $67,000.
Real estate auctions? We have those too. I have to watch this.
The house just ended. I have to call the new buyer now.
Happy Bidding everyone!
It is 2:24 PM.
